Company ProfileTFSmiths has been providing its customers with the highest levels of customer service in the automotive sector for the past quarter of a century. One of the reasons we are able to achieve this is from our unique experience in working for a whole range of customers - from the large scale corporate insurance companies - down to the individual. We aim to solve your automotive problems with the minimum disruption and cost to you - whoever you may be. Our ability to produce consistently high quality work over the years has earned us approvals from many popular insurance companies and recovery clubs. We focus strongly on offering the highest levels of efficiency across all of our bodyshops.
The company was founded in 1970 focusing primarily on Accident Repair. Since then we have undergone many major expansions and received approvals from many major insurance companies. In the early 1980s we branched out into the 24 hour Emergency Recovery sector contracting for Green Flag. This proved a successful move and we now contract for the A.A. and R.A.C. as well as several other operators. The latest addition to our core services is our vehicle hire business under the 'Practical' franchise name and in the mid nineties we achieved 'Practical Premier' status with over 50 vehicles. In 1996 we opened a second repair centre to more than double our capacity and offer our customers an even better service. 1999 saw the expansion of our 24 Hr recovery business into Bradford with the acquisition of a new site in a central location. In 2000 a further accident repair centre in Settle, North Yorkshire was established to increase our overall capacity. In 2001 we successfully opened a modern, major accident repair centre in the City of Bradford which has enabled us to consolidate our position as the number one accident repair company in the BD postcode area and double our capacity yet again. All 3 of our accident repair centres are operated by one of the most advanced management systems available on the market with full 24 hour 'live' monitoring of vehicle status. Our continual investment and re-investment in the company is a sign of our commitment to the customer in continuing to provide the highest levels of automotive service available. Now in 2004 we are ready to expand again with the doubling of our accident repair centre in Bradford via construction of a new purpose built building doubling our available vehicle capacity.
